-Finalists selected 1/25/10

-Finalist presentations 1/29/10

The Innovative Social Impact Initiative at UF's Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and the Office of Sustainability are pleased to host the UF competition this month. Winners will advance to the regional competition, and have the chance to win the opportunity to present at WalMart headquarters in Bentonville, AR with a grand prize of $20,000.

Student teams (both graduate and undergraduate) are encouraged to develop a sustainable, profitable business plan for a new product or business process with a measurable positive environmental benefit. This could include preserving clean air, water, and soil; reducing waste; improving energy efficiency or developing renewable energy ideas; and promoting healthy living for people and communities. Plans and presentations must quantify their ability to provide benefits in one or more of the above areas.
